Jewish Holocaust Centre - Exhibiting the Truth and Educating Others Through Meaningful Objects - Cya On The Road

The Jewish Holocaust Museum and Research Centre (JHC) was created in 1984 as a memorial to the six million Jews who were murdered during the Holocaust. The JHC opened to the public with a mission to educate others in order to combat antisemitism, racism and prejudice in the community and to foster understanding between people. Educational programs are vital to operations at the JHC. On a daily basis, trained Holocaust survivors guide visitors around the museum, giving students the opportunity to listen to a survivors oral testimony. These experiences make a visit to the JHC memorable, transformative and thought-provoking. The original vision of the founders of the JHC to be a memorial with a strong focus on education is to this day being carried forward by the remaining Holocaust survivors, their descendants, and many others committed to sustaining their legacy.
